Yarran Wines 2020 Sauvignon Blanc

This is a multiple award-winning Sauvignon Blanc and we are so pleased to have this here. It's delicious!

We've been great friends with Sam and his family who own and run Yarran Estates for a long time. And it's always special for us when we get the chance of having some of his wines here at ValeVino, not least as Yarran Wines was proudly awarded ‘Dark Horse Winery of the Year’ 2021 by James Halliday’s Australian Wine Companion.

Not only did Halliday award the winery, but he also gave this 86 points firmly cementing its quality against its value as being worth buying.

It is crisp, dry and fresh and brings canned pineapple, dried mango, a hint of guava and spritz nettle flavours and yet is still nice and juicy yet being and more relaxed version than the norm. This is in part due to the fact the fruit is harvested on the slightly earlier side to push the flavour spectrum into this tropical zone.

Sam knows what he is doing making wine, and James knows what he is doing talking about it, and we simply love this!

It’s perfect - and we mean perfect with seafood so hits the holiday mark right on target. Also for a cheese pairing and with vegetarian food as a really nice choice.
