8% Giving Back

Here at ValeVino as much as we want to offer the best wine deals available, we also believe it's important to give back to our local community. That's why we've decided that for every case of wine we sell here at ValeVino we'll donate 8% of our profits (the equivalent of 1 bottle per case) back to local causes.

As we progress and we mature the ValeVino business our plan is we will consult with you our customers for ideas and suggestions as to what charities and organisations would best benefit. However, to get started we are absolutely delighted we will start our 8% Giving Back pledge to support someone we both consider to be a local hero, our friend and neighbour Tommy Quick.

Some of you may know Tommy as he is a bit of a local character. For those that don't, or are not fully aware of Tommy's story, he suffered a stroke as a child aged 12yrs. Now 28 and still physically impaired Tommy is currently on the road cycling 9000kms to the four most distant points of Australia. Doing so he is hoping to raise $1m for Stroke ambulance. As importantly though he is stopping on route to speak to a 10,000 children about the importance of social inclusion and the impact of stroke.

With stroke killing more people a year that breast cancer and prostate cancer combined this is a great cause, a massive undertaking and a huge adventure.

Tommy, we are right behind you and couldn't be happier you are the first ValeVino 8% recipient.
