ValeVino Featured Collection - Geddes 'Seldom Inn'

When we came up with the idea for ValeVino one area we really wanted to try and explore was opening up some different and amazing winemakers for you, our local customers. We are so pleased for our opening ValeVino featured collection we have the stunning Seldom Inn Range by the amazing Tim Geddes.

The Geddes family are located in Blewitt Springs South Australia and have been winemaking in the Mclaren Vale region for over a decade. From grape to glass it is handmade by Tim and is a family owned and operated winery and proudly 100% Australian.

Tim and Amanda his wife have always made wine and food with what the season has produced. They work with the style of each year to create a consistency of quality as the vintages change and the varieties shine. McLaren Vale and Blewitt Springs is well suited to red varieties, an area Geddes wines excel in. This is seen in one of our featured collection, the Geddes Seldom Inn 2018 Grenache, the take-away Gold Award winner from 2019 Royal Melbourne Wine Show and a McLaren Vale stunner!! 

The philosophy behind the label “Seldom Inn” was from the Late Pat Geddes who was one for living life and being a larger than life character. Pat used to unplug the phone from the wall or tell his kids to say he wasn’t home. This resulted in his associates to make a sign 'Seldom Inn' and hanging it on the driveway entrance.

It was for this belief of turning the phone, computer and any other technology that makes you instantly contactable, “off”. To do so ensured you can 100% enjoy life with a glass of wine, tasty food and great friends without the hassle of anything else being of worry.
